To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) Issuing Tower Air Traffic Control instructions and advice to pilots in the vicinity of airports to assure proper separation of aircraft and to expedite their safe and efficient movement. 2) Directing and coordinating the radar control of aircraft in approach control airspace. 3) Performing radar air traffic control duties in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules, regulations and radar procedures governing the movement of air traffic. 4) Reporting, investigating, and taking appropriate action regarding incidents and accidents in accordance with current regulations and instructions. To qualify for this position, applicants must possess a valid Air Traffic Control Specialist certificate and Control Tower Operator certificate. REQUIRED:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). This position has been identified by Department of Army as an Air Traffic Controller as defined in 5 U.S.C 2109(1)(A) and (1)(B) who is actively engaged in the separation and control of air traffic; or in providing preflight, inflight, or airport advisory service aircraft operators; or is the immediate supervisor of any employee described above. As described under 5 U.S.C. 8401(35)(B), this also includes the immediate supervisor of the person described in 5 U.S.C. 2109(1)(B). As such, this position is covered under special retirement coverage. Additional information about Special Retirement Coverage can be found in the CSRS and FERS Handbook, Chapter 46. The individual hired is subject to Special Retirement provisions to include additional contributions to the retirement fund, mandatory separation/retirement at age 56 with 20 years of approved special retirement service, options for early retirement at any age after 25 years of approved special retirement provisions service, or at age 50 with 20 years of approved special retirement provisions service. Maximum Entry Age (MEA):
The MEA for Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs) is 36. An employee originally hired into a covered ATC position must be hired by the last day of the month he/she reaches 36. Maximum Reentry Age:
An employee who previously served on a covered position may be rehired past the MEA as long as he/she is able to complete 20 years of covered service by his/her mandatory retirement age. Waivers to Maximum Entry Age:
MEA may be waived, but only under specific circumstances and only if approved by the authorized entity. Waivers:
Waivers to MEA for ATCs may be approved by the commanders of Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs) and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs). See Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 1400.25 Volume 331 and 336 for more information. For reentry into a covered position, you must also provide sufficient documentation (SF50s) to show length of service in a previously covered Air Traffic Controller position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
