Teamsters Military Assistance Program

Now is your chance to receive training and certification for a rewarding career as a professional driver for one of America's most stable motor carriers! Just ask an ABF Freight driver, and they will tell you that this isn't a lonely truckload job that keeps you on the road for weeks at a time. ABF Freight is a less-than-truckload operation whose drivers earn union-scale wages and enjoy all the benefits of driving for one of the most respected motor carriers in North America.
We believe that just because you earn your living on the road doesn't mean you have to live your life there. Our network is designed to minimize time away from home. That's because we're a union carrier who values people and families as much as freight.
TMAP is a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on training. You won't just sit in a classroom. You'll sit in the driver's seat and learn from some of the best veteran drivers in America. If you're looking for stability after the Army, then you've come to the right place. ABF Freight has been in operation since 1923. We put people and families first, and that's why ABF Freight has one of the highest driver retention rates in the industry. You'll find it gratifying to work for a company with financial stability, growth, and dependability - one that offers you the opportunity for a prosperous, meaningful career.
Upon graduation, you'll be placed in a full-time opening at one of our 245 locations across North America. At ABF Freight, we care about our soldiers, and we will do everything we can to make your transition into civilian life a success. Please make sure to contact your Soldier for Life office for more information and to receive authorization for the program prior to completing an application.
