  • MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for a Computer Based Trainer (CBT) with demonstrated experience instructing small group classes to military personnel. Primary duties include developing training packages that will address new operator, sustainment, and leader training using Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), the Warrior Simulation (WARSIM) and Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM).


  • Upon completion of training development, will execute training sessions and develop the criteria for successful completion by trained personnel.

  • May utilize and instruct trainers with technical expertise.

  • Perform the duties of an operator for the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) and/or WARSIM. Develop lesson plans IAW Army Regulations based on a detailed front-end training analysis.

  • Continuously revises lesson plans to meet training requirements and keep course abreast of emerging technology.

  • Instructor duties will include preparation of training materials, determination of methodology, and coordination in the development and use of training aids.

  • Secondary duties may include operation, training and mentoring the use of:

    • Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2),

    • Blue Force Tracker (BFT),

    • Joint Capabilities Release (JCR),

    • Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS),

    • Command Post of the Future (COPF),

    • Battle Command Sustainment Support Systems (BCS3),

    • Tactical Ground Reporting System (TIGR),

    • Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE),

    • Virtual Battle Simulation System (VBS2) simulations during all training events.

  • Evaluates training materials, procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep the course abreast of software, and emerging doctrine.

  • Maintains class records, writes, administers and scores tests for certification when required.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • A degree is desirable but may be replaced by experience on a case by case basis.
  • Must be prior service in grade E-6 or above.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to communicate and share constructive perspective in order to achieve success of task and missions present and future.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Will be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks; applicant will be subject to a government security investigation
  • Must be a US citizen with a SECRET or higher security clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel outside the Ft. Carson area 2-4 times/year for up to 2 weeks/trip
  • Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspense s without intense supervision

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
