Report all locally discovered Information Technology (IT) security incidents to the Regional Computer Response Team (RCERT) as required.
Provide support to the installation's Information Assurance Manager (IAM).
Analyze telecommunications support requirements and recommends most cost effective and efficient means of accomplishing needs.
Participate in the development, maintenance, coordination, and execution/testing of plans for the continuity of operations for automated information systems.
Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
Three-year probationary period may be required.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.
S.
states or possessions to operate vehicles.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
Incumbent must sign statement acknowledging this is an Excepted Service position that does not confer competitive status.

Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (INFOSEC):
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
1) Providing technical training and instruction on computer and communications security awareness to installation personnel; 2) Responsible for reviewing units and activities associated with certification and accreditation of automated information systems (AIS); and 3) Review work/service orders from customers to determine requirements and to ensure the most cost-effective service is provided.
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
completing work independently that rarely requires editing or review by others.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
